Oct. 25th: African Festival

We went to a party organized by the African Association of African Women diplomats in Japan, a charity diner for African families. We went to Setagaya, in a room decorated with posters of landscapes or African masks but there was also African fabrics. But we focused on the traditional original and colorful dresses of the African women.

The culture of a country differs from another by the cooking and therefore put the African culture does not fail to this rule! Thus, we tried many African specialties such as the banana fritters, fried bananas plantin of grilled lamb stuffed with couscous, sauce-based chick-peas and red beans ... the dishes were too numerous to be all quoted. We were lucky to be at a table with Africans who talked about their country and traditions throughout this wonderful evening.

It was an African wind on Setagaya.
