It is with a great pleasure that I went to animate a “French cultural day” for Japanese children and their parents in Hongodai.

In the morning, we prepared the ingredients to make a vegetable soup, cheese tomatoes and ham crêpes, and fruit yogurt. I was particularly impressed by the talent and resourcefulness with which the kids washed and cut vegetables, including onions, but also mixed the dough or cooked the crêpes...Once we finished preparing the dishes, we served everything together before to get to the table to taste. I did not forget to teach them the famous French words "Bon Appetit" that they all pronounced correctly before eating.

The afternoon was devoted to cultural and recreational activities. After a brief presentation of France , it was the colors of the French flag, the numbers from 1 to 10, the alphabet and the French song "Frère Jacques." To help them to understand more easily, we made color pawns games and sang together...

Since the kids had worked hard all day, they all left with the diploma of the best painstaking child...

I hope I have given them the wish to learn more about French culture and French language…
